Stonehenge is an ancient masoned monument in Wiltshire England, about 112 km southwest of Oxford. The prehistoric structure consists of stones arranged in a ring, each around 13 feet high, 7 feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons. Constructed somewhere between 3000 BCE and 2000 BCE, the stones are set amongst several hundred burial mounds.
The unique arrangement has been the focus of fascination with tourists, and — as an easily identifiable structure — it has served as the location for what are often portrayed as mysterious events in movies and other pop culture media. As such, it has appeared as a significant site in Thor: The Dark World, Transformers: The Last Knight, This is Spinal Tap, National Lampoon's European Vacation, Ice Age, SpongeBob SquarePants, Doctor Who, the 1965 Beatles film Help!, and many others.
Stonehenge is established as a point of interest in Muppets from Space for followers of the unknown as depicted in UFO Mania. Its significance is justified as proven by C.O.V.N.E.T.'s surveillance of the area when it has been revealed the site has been the target of alien vandalism. In an attempt to send a message to Gonzo, his alien brethren choose Stonehenge as a means of communication when they arrange the stones to read "R U THERE".
