Starship is an American rock band with roots dating back to the 1960's. Previous incarnations of the band were called Jefferson Airplane, and Jefferson Starship. Grace Slick sang vocals for all three versions of the band. Starship had three #1 singles in the 1980's: "We Built This City", "Sara", and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now".
