"Stars and Stripes Forever" is one of the most popular compositions of American composer John Philip Sousa. It is a march frequently used in 4th of July celebrations and parades.
Performances
- At the end of the album Bert and Ernie Sing Along, the University of Michigan Marching Band plays the song as they enter Bert and Ernie's bathroom.
- The tune was performed on episode 517 of The Muppet Show as part of a patriotic medley.
