The Four Tops sang Standing at the Bus Stop Sign on Sesame Street in the mid-1980s (after which Big Bird "drives" down the street with a steering wheel, as a pretend bus).

The song was later sung by Hoots the Owl, retaining the original backing track, on the album Sing-Along Travel Songs.
