Stan is an accordion-playing turkey. Kermit the Frog writes in his diary ^[1] that the Swedish Chef brought home the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. When they discovered that the bird was a performer, Kermit booked him for three shows.

The Muppets ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Thanksgiving that year.
