Trashgiving is a Grouch holiday introduces in a 2013 episode of Sesame Street.

The holiday's origins aren't made clear in the episode, showing that much like the real Thanksgiving, it celebrates the arrival of the Dispilgrims on their boat, the Maysour. It also seems to celebrate the settlement between the native slugs and worms.

The traditions on the holiday include decorating bare sticks with garbage, eating hot bowls of glob and the gathering of Grouch families, who then complain about each other. They also sing the traditional Trashgiving carol (which resembles "Over the River and Through the Woods"). There is also the annual Trashgiving Day Parade, featuring music, clowns, floats and balloons.
A Shoe appears in the "Monsterpiece Theater" presentation of The Taming of the Shoe.

This prima donna piece of foot wear resides in a dignified bed chamber, where Grovero plans to put her on his right foot and walk to the Padua Mall. The shoe, however, gives him a hard time about it ("I will not be tied to any foot!"), claiming she's perfectly capable of getting around by herself. Grovero finds this allegation rich and challenges her to prove it. Sure enough, the shoe finds that she can barely budge an inch on her own. Finally, she agrees to cooperate. Thus, the shoe is tamed.

Once the shoe is on Grovero's foot, she expresses a desire to dance, rather than walk, to the Mall. He is glad to oblige, and the two of them move to the beat of a catchy, jazzy tune. And so goes the course of "shoe love."
MythBusters is a television show airing on Discovery Channel since 2003. The show's hosts, special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, Internet videos, and news stories.

Mentions
* The July 17, 2005 episode looks to debunk myths surrounding the 1975 film Jaws. Adam Savage describes building a shark replica: "I'm using a technique called additive foam build-up which involves using upholstery foam ... and some contact cement. Which is exactly how they make Muppets, in fact." Later in the program, the narrator announces that "Adam's Muppet man-eater is nearing completion."

* An August 27, 2008 episode takes on the long-rumored NASA moon landing hoax. In one segment, Grant Imahara constructs a reproduction of the rod-framed American flag placed on the moon by astronauts during the Apollo missions. As he prepares to place the rig inside a vacuum tube, Kari Byron asks "is this your first riiiiig iiiin spaaaace?," placing an emphasis on the words mimicking Jerry Nelson's voice-over in The Muppet Show’s Pigs in Space segment. The MythBusters announcer echoes Kari's joke with the same playful expression.

* In the Mythbusters aftershow for the episode of Mythbusters aired on November 23, 2011, Adam Savage remarks that he got the idea for his bright-red game-show-host suit: "The only game show hosts who wear super-loud suits are the ones on Sesame Street, which is clearly what I was influenced by." (video)
Teeny Tiny Dogs is a series developed by The Jim Henson Company, for Amazon Studios. The series would feature puppet dog characters and teach kids about happiness, coping, and resilience.

A pilot presentation was posted to Amazon on April 22, 2013 to gather viewer feedback. The pilot featured an animatic made of colored storyboards with voiceover. The pilot also included a couple of scenes with the new puppet character Dinky as the final series would be a full-puppet production.

To announce the debut of the animatic, Henson posted the following message on their Facebook page:
{{quote|Hey parents and caregivers! Our next series is in development and we need your help. “Teeny Tiny Dogs” is a hilarious show that features new puppet dogs from The Jim Henson Company and an exciting new happiness curriculum that helps preschoolers build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. Our animatic is online and we need feedback! Please watch and let us know what you think. Is it good for your child? Do you think s/he would like it? Any comments are welcome! Thank you!

[NOTE: This animatic is only a step in our development process and we use it to inform the look, tempo and story of the series. This is not the final show! We cut in a couple of scenes with our new character Dinky, but our final series will be a puppet production featuring puppets from our workshop performed by our puppeteers. Our completed show will have no animation, but will star lots of Henson puppet dogs!
The series was not picked up by Amazon. On May 20, 2013, the Henson Company posted the following message to the Facebook account:
{{quote|It is with regret that we share the news that our show "Teeny Tiny Dogs" did not get a greenlight from Amazon Studios. Unfortunately, we are not privy to the reasons behind their decision to pass, but we are so proud of the incredible support and feedback we received for this project. More people reviewed our episode than any other kids pilot posted on Amazon’s site.
The Pirettes are a trio of girl pirates, who don't show their real faces, just like Nanny and most other humans on the show. They appear in the Muppet Babies episode "Treasure Attic".

They plan on burying Stripe-Socks Nanny's treasure and making slaves out of the Muppet Babies, but eventually get tricked by Baby Piggy by believing they could be on broadway, especially when they sing the episode's main song, "Pirates."

They are voiced by Russi Taylor as Captain Blackwig (blue pirette), Laurie O'Brien as Captain Crochet Hook (pink pirette), & Katie Leigh as the Captain of the Pittsburgh Pirettes (green pirette).

Notes
*Despite being exclusive one shot villains with original designs of their own, the Pirettes' names are based on certain captain related names: Captain Crochet Hook is based on Peter Pan's Captain James Hook (as well as Captain James Cook), Captain Blackwig is based on Captain Blackbeard, & Captain of the Pittsburgh Pirates is based on a captain of the Baseball team of the same name.
