Sound it Out is a song that takes place in the classroom set also utilized by the Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School skits. It begins with Farley asking Same Sound Brown for help in reading the words on the blackboard. Same Sound Brown teaches Farley to sound out words phonteically, in three parts. Same Sound demonstrates on the world "man", and then Farley tries it out with the word "fun".
This sketch was included in the video Getting Ready to Read. The back of the video box lists the title as "Sound It Out".
