Originally written for the musical Roberta starring Bob Hope, "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" was performed by Zoot and Rowlf in episode 202 of The Muppet Show. To the confusion of both, smoke began to come out of Zoot's saxophone, causing them to choke and cough.
