Sleepytime Bird is a collection of bedtime songs, as the residents of Sesame Street sing some of their favorite lullabies to Big Bird to help him sleep. It was reissued on cassette by Golden Music as Sleepytime on Sesame Street in 1990.

- "Katchke Green" is omitted from subsequent releases of the album. The outro to "The Grouch's Lullaby" is used during the beginning of the "The Count's Lullaby" track along with a new intro line removing references to Mr. Hooper.
- Some pressings of the album don't include Mr. Hooper in the "Cast" credits.
