Simson

Simson is a bear character from Sesamstrasse, the German co-production of Sesame Street. Simson is Samson's cousin. They look very mucgh alike, except for Simson's baseball cap.

Simson was made from an old Samson puppet. He appeared on Sesamstrasse during the 1990s, during about the same time that Rumpel and Buh were introduced as new characters on the show.

For the first few episodes that his name was mentioned in the 1980s, an "Opa Simson" ("Grandpa Simson" in English) was only imagined by Samson and other characters doubted his existence, in a slightly similar way to how Snuffy from Sesame Street was only being seen by Big Bird for a little over Sesame Street's first decade.
