Simon the Snail first appeared in the Mopatop's Shop episode "Flea Power", were he was one of the things Mopatop suggested the viewer for the day.

The puppet would appear in other episodes with no direct mention of a name.

In the episode "Nowhere For a Square" the snail was looking for a new wheel for a snail skate. He looks into the bag with circles and discovers a perfect one for a hedgehog and many other animal type skates. He wants to have the entire bag of circles so that he will have wheels for all of his friends. Performed by Nigel Plaskitt.

In the episode "Home Sweet Home", he was looking for new home to replace the home he have lived in all his life.

The puppet was a recycled version of The Snail that appeared in The Tale of the Bunny Picnic.
