Siege of Silence was a proposed film adaptation of the 1987 political thriller by A. J. Quinnell. The plot centers around intrigue and the kidnapping of an American ambassador in a Latin American country and subsequent conflicts with Cuba. Around 2001, the Jim Henson Company optioned the rights and intended to produce the film itself, with Universal Studios as distributor.

Frank Oz was attached to direct and share producing credit with Brian Henson and Lisa Henson. The last status report, as of September 15, 2006, claimed that the project was in turnaround.
