Share is a Sesame Street song about sharing milk and cookies. It was originally performed by Ernie and Cookie Monster, and appeared on the 1980 album In Harmony: A Sesame Street Record. In the song, Cookie Monster has cookies and Ernie has milk, and Ernie suggests that they get together and share. Cookie Monster thinks that he understands what sharing means -- if Ernie gives him the milk, then he'll have milk and cookies. Ernie sets him straight, and explains what sharing really means.
The song was remade in the late 90s, with Elmo taking Cookie Monster's part, and Zoe taking Ernie's.
It was remade again a few years later, with Elmo and Ernie. (EKA: Episode 3977)
