Shapes and Colors is a 1972 Sesame Street Colorforms playset. Presided over by Big Bird, the set features see-through Colorforms shapes that can be arranged into pictures and designs.

According to his website, Mel Birnkrant (creative director of Colorforms) stated that a Children's Television Workshop advisor insisted that all of the circles in the set should be brown, so that the human figures that were made would have brown faces. Unfortunately, the transparent vinyl didn't come in brown, so they had to use gray and black instead.
