Seymour was a turtle found by Big Bird in Sesame Street episode 4026. Big Bird decided to keep him as his pet, but when Big Bird left him alone, he left before Big Bird came back to his home.

The puppet had previously appeared with a different shell, as Shelley the Turtle.
