German toy company Living Puppets released a line of full-body Sesamstrasse puppets (sometimes in multiple sizes available), with the characters' hands fully playable. Released in 2006 were Bert, Cookie Monster, the Count, Elmo, Ernie, Finchen (hands not playable), Grover, Oscar and Samson.

In the same year, Gund distributed identical copies of Cookie Monster, Ernie and Grover, as well as a less shaggy version of Elmo under their license in the United States.

A Super Grover puppet was added in 2007, and Pferd and Wolle puppets followed in 2011 (hands/hoofs not playable).
