Sesame Street Stays Up Late is a 1995 Sesame Street storybook based on the television special by Lou Berger. The book intersperses pages about celebrating New Year's Eve in various countries around the world with the story of the New Year's Eve party on Sesame Street. Each of the international pages has an illustrated version of a scene, with photos inset on TV screens to indicate that the Sesame Street characters are watching this on TV. The illustrated scene generally represents the TV scene quite closely, but a cameraman is also shown. In each of the foreign segments, Grover is seen in the foreground, collecting items to take back to Sesame Street.
