Sesame Street: A Celebration of 40 Years of Life on the Street (exhibit)

Sesame Street: A Celebration of 40 Years of Life on the Street was an exhibit on display at the Brooklyn Public Library's central branch from November 14, 2009 to February 21, 2010. On loan from Jim Henson's private collection were puppets, scripts, props, sheet music, animation cells and photographs from over 40 years of Sesame Street. Many of the items lost to the archives for years, the collection was assembled by Susie Tofte who spent two years tracking down various sources.

On November 21, the library held an event featuring Bob McGrath singing songs, and a discussion panel consisting of Fran Brill, Rollie Krewson, Carol-Lynn Parente, and Christopher Cerf moderated by Louise Gikow (author of Sesame Street: A Celebration - 40 Years of Life on the Street).
