The Children's Learning Center in Stamford, CT hosted a Literacy Workshop on September 29, 2007, in association with Sesame Workshop. Continuing a partnership that began in June of the same year in which the day care center tested Sesame computer games teaching literacy, the fair included a raffle provided by Beaches Family Resorts for a vacation get-away and a "What's the Word on the Street?" education station in which children can explore words and language.
The highlight of the event was an appearance by Rosita, Abby Cadabby and some Honkers. Other Sesame Workshop speakers included Jim Jinkins, creator of "Global Thingy" and Pinky Dinky Doo, and Timothy Bellavia, who attended the first annual Sesame Reads Literacy Day in 2004.
