Seiji Ozawa Sesame Street

Seiji Ozawa (b. 1935) is a noted Japanese conductor who has led several world-famous orchestras. During the 1960s, he led the New York Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

From 1973 to 2002, he served as the Music Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. During this time, he conducted Placido Flamingo and the All-Animal Orchestra on Sesame Street in Episode 2485. In the segment, Ozawa was introduced as "the world-renowned very good sport."
