Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 film which helped to popularize disco around the country with songs including "Stayin' Alive", and made its star, John Travolta, a household name.

The film has been spoofed a number of times with the Muppets.

• Animal appears dressed as Travolta on a licensed Muppet postcard that parodies the film as "Saturday Night Furball", and similar pictures were used for various merchandise, including magnets.

• Elmo strikes the famed pose on the cover of the book Shall We Dance?
