Picture Segment Description


SCENE 1 Maria reluctantly allows Forgetful Jones to help her out in a situation - her friend is arriving any minute and needs Forgetful to keep watch. She gives him the important information he needs - her name is Sue, she'll have a guide dog with her (she's blind), wearing a harness and that she'll wait at the stoop for Maria's return. Forgetful forgets, as usual, what he was supposed to remember, when Sue arrives. He's able to piece together the clues.

Muppets Bob reads the story of a king and his three sons, to whom he bestows three, special gifts - a basket that is never emptied of food, a bird that knows all in the land and a horse that can travel anywhere. They each a separate gift and travel the land, trying to help people. But, when they reunite, they find their separate gifts can't help them completely and realize that by cooperating, they'll know who needs food and a way to get there.

SCENE 2 Maria and Sue have lunch at Hooper's Store, where Mr. Hooper asks her to look up a friend of his who lives in her town. Herry Monster is amazed to see her write the phone number using braille and being able to identify her coat on the wall. He offers his services of picking up dropped items, such as pianos or washing machines.

SCENE 3 Oscar sits out in the arbor, enjoying his oatmeal and chocolate sauce, when Sue and her dog, Todd, sit down next to him. He doesn't like hearing her speak so positively to Todd and informs her that Grouches prefer dogs that don't follow orders. She points out that since Todd has his harness on, he can only listen to her. So, Oscar begins giving him commands he won't follow (just as a Grouch likes it).
Animation Blocks form a table and chairs for a stuffed rabbit and chick.
Muppets Grover tries to ignore three monsters who look big and scary to him. When they notice him carrying a flute, they grab his attention and ask -- in what appears to be a threatening way -- if Grover wants to play. The three monsters pull out a clarinet, an oboe and a basson and begin to play, urging Grover to join in. (ending edited)

Maria finds some P-word items inside, but Mumford complains the trick is about the letter R. Maria points out his sign is wrong and corrects it, finding R words inside the hat now. "I might not know anything about magic, but I sure know my alphabet," she states.

SCENE 6 Maria has now been goaded into give over 600 wrong answers to the Count's question and goes back to work. The Count asks Mr. Hooper how many wrong answers Maria had made and he too gets it right on the first try. The Count begs him to guess wrong, as Maria announces the sponsors.
