Some live-hand Muppets are constructed with a sack-like body, where the glove-like hand of is directly attached to the body with no distinct arm sleeve between. This allows for a simpler construction, without the need for sleeves sized to the performers' arms, which may be different for both the primary and assistant performer. The loose sack-like body also allows for greater leeway in obscuring the performer from camera view.
