Rudyard Kipling is the author of The Jungle Book.
Both stories in the Sesame Street book, Grover's Just So-So Stories, were patterned on Just So Stories, Kipling's collection of short stories about how certain animals came to be.
Baby Animal appears as Mowgli, the main character from The Jungle Book, in Muppet Babies' Classic Children's Tales. He's pictured with Baloo the bear, Shere Khan the tiger, Kaa the snake, and a monkey.
