Rudder Rabbit appeared in a 1990 episode of Sesame Street. Along with Gladys the Cow, Buster the Horse, Hoots the Owl, and Bob (who dresses as a bumblebee), he participates in Placido Flamingo's opera "The Perfect Thing."

A similar rabbit (made from the same puppet with different eyes and wearing medieval garb), also performed by David Rudman, took part in "The Chicken King." The puppet was also modified into another rabbit character, Bonnie Rabbit.
