Ricky Gervais (b. 1961) appears in the 40th season of Sesame Street. He sings a song to Elmo at bedtime about the letter "N", but his song is less than soothing. (First: Episode 4201)
On November 5, 2009, Elmo appeared as a special guest with Gervais during a show at Carnegie Hall to sing "New York, New York."[1]
