Richard Simmons (b. 1948) is a well-known fitness instructor and host of the Sweatin' to the Oldies video series.

In 1992, he performed the voice of a dinosaur spoof of himself in the third season Dinosaurs episode "Nature Calls".

In 2006, Simmons appeared on Martha Stewart Living with Kermit the Frog.

Miss Piggy browses through one of Simmons' workout books in a Muppet comic strip by Guy and Brad Gilchrist.
