Richard Dawson (b. 1932) is an actor and an Emmy Award-winning game show host best known as the original host of Family Feud. He also had a memorable role on Hogan's Heroes, and was a regular panelist on the game show Match Game.

Dawson appeared on Sesame Street in 1981 in "Family Food", a Sesame spoof of his popular show.

Dawson once appeared alongside Oscar the Grouch on one of Dinah Shore's talk shows. On that show, guest stars got to stay on the couch after their interviews are over, and when Oscar appeared, he made a joke about Dawson, leading to Dawson to talk about his entire career, leaving Oscar unable to be interviewed for the rest of the show.[1]
