"Rhapsody in Blue" is a musical composition by George Gershwin originally written for solo piano and jazz band, and later orchestrated by Ferde Grofé for piano and symphony orchestra. It is one of the most popular American concert works and is otherwise known for its use in commercials for United Airlines, and animated for Fantasia 2000 as arranged by Bruce Broughton.

Big Bird leads his orchestra in a rendition of the piece in Meet Big Bird's Orchestra.

On Sesame Street, Richard Stoltzman played the opening for Oscar the Grouch as an example of what the clarinet can do as an instrument.

A section of the piece was used in Episode 3851 of Sesame Street in a fantasy sequence with ballet dancers inspired by Miles' basketball skills.
