Reluctant Angel was the title of a sculpture created by the Jim Henson Creature Shop for the Community of Angels Project that ran from 2000-2001. The statue resembled a marble angel with the head and shoes of Beaker. It was used to adorn Pershing Square in Los Angeles. The art director for the sculpture was Edward C. Eyth.
The Community of Angels Project project aimed to decorate and paint several hundred angel sculptures. The sculptures were installed in various public spaces throughout the city. In May 2001 they were auctioned off to benefit Volunteers of America and Catholic Big Brothers.
