Ray is the sun on Bear in the Big Blue House. He debuted in the second season episode "All Weather Bear."

Whereas Bear talks with Luna every night before going to bed, Bear is only occasionally seen talking with Ray. They are still very good friends, though. Like Luna, Ray his own song, "Good Morning."

Ray states that his outlook is always sunny. He sometimes talks with Bear about what the weather is going to be like, and the two often share opening thoughts for the day.

Ray is seen much more often in the fourth season of the show, even when Bear isn't talking to him. He is also added to the opening and closing sequences.
