"Proud Mary" is a Creedence Clearwater Revival song that reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Tina Turner released a cover of the song that won her a Grammy Award in 1971.

Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem covered the song in the 1984 live show The Muppet Show On Tour. The show's program booklet reads:
