Pick Your Pet was a game show from the first season. It was hosted by Guy Smiley, who was named Sonny Friendly at this point. The object of the game is to wear a blindfold and ask questions to three different animals, and then pikc which one the contestant wants to be it's pet. The contestant in this skit is Betty Lou, and the animal choices are a bird (Little Bird), a dog (Baskerville), and a monster (Beautiful Day Monster), the last of which Guy considers to be hideous and doens't think the contestant would want.
Betty Lou asks a series of questions to the animals, asking them questions that would relate to a cat. Her time runs up before she can ask Beautiful Day Monser any questions, and she has to choose, so she chooses Beautiful Day Monster, who acts like a cat when she finds out what she got, and she is happy with her pet.
