Philip is the brother of Simon (who serves as the inspiration for the game, "Simon Says") who appears in a season 44 episode of Sesame Street.

Philip serves as an aide to Simon (portrayed by Peter Dinklage), playing the role of announcer during the Simon Says competitions. He also assists in playing the music for Simon's various musical numbers. He's greatly resentful of his brother, upset that he gets all the attention because of his great powers of persuasion. Eventually, Simon decides that next year's competition will be "Philip Says." Philip practices with a ludicrous command, which no one responds to; Simon assures him they have a year to practice.
