Pangaea is the nation where the characters of Dinosaurs reside. Ruled by the Chief Elder (a frequently changing position) and a council of elders, the nation's government is initially reminiscent of ancient druid rituals and secret societies. As the series progresses, the government more closely resembles a satire of the United States of America, with party politics, mud slinging, and appeals to blind patriotism as recurring motifs. Though many regions exist outside of Pangaea, including a distant land populated by cavemen and the foreign country where Henri Poupon and his bird kin hail from, none of these lands are ever named in the series.
