Book appearancesEdit

Oscar's Junk Band also appears in the 1994 book Oscar's Grouch Jamboree, playing for the grand finale of the Grouch Jamboree. In the book Oswaldo bangs on a tin can with a broom handle, Grundgetta blows through a comb covered with wax paper, Oscar blows across the mouth of a soda bottle, Travis rattles bits of dried-up orange peel in a can and Filthomena clatters ice cube trays.

The band also appears in the 2001 book The Monsters on the Bus, jamming on the bus and annoying a passenger, Mr. Johnson.
