Osbert J. Smedley is The Muppet Theater's insurance agent from the Claim-Ye-Not Insurance Company. He comes to the theater for some routine questioning in The Muppet Show Comic Book Issue #3 - Gonzo's Story, needing to know the species of everybody.

When he arrives at the theater, Pops thinks he is the guest star, and mistakes him for an actor in the movie "Paint Academy Seven".
