"Orange Colored Sky" was performed by Lynda Carter as the closing number in episode 419 of The Muppet Show. The sketch features Scooter, Lew Zealand, Gonzo, Rizzo (referred to in the episode as "Super Rat"), and Link Hogthrob in their superhero personae, all dodging a number of explosions: "Flash! Bam! Alakazam!"

The first line of the song was sung by Herry Monster on Sesame Street as he strolled onscreen during The Amazing Mumford's "Suspension Act" sketch.
