"Orange Colored Sky" was performed by Lynda Carter in episode 419 of The Muppet Show as the show's closing number. The sketch features Scooter, Lew Zealand, Gonzo, Rizzo (referred to in the episode as "Super Rat") and Link Hogthrob in their superhero personae, all dodging a number of explosions: "Flash! Bam! Alakazam!"

The song has been recorded by the likes of Nat King Cole and Johnny Mathis.
