One-Eyed Jack

One-Eyed Jack is a purple-tinted Whatnot who is one of the mutinous pirates in Muppet Treasure Island.

Though he received his name in that film, it was not actually his screen debut. The same puppet first appeared in The Muppet Christmas Carol, appearing in two different roles in the same film. In the opening "Scrooge" number, he appears as a vegetable seller (with The Singing Food), performed by Frank Oz. Later on, in "It Feels Like Christmas," he resurfaces in jail stripes as a prisoner and with a British accent courtesy of Jerry Nelson.

Although the character's name is One-Eyed Jack, and despite the presence of an eye-patch in Muppet Treasure Island, the puppet does not have any actual eyes as a facial adornment.
