Norman Henry Mamey (1948-2015) was a music arranger, conductor, composer, and musician. He worked on multiple Sesame Street albums and video projects, including the 1997 release Kids' Favorite Songs and especially the 2001 album Elmo and the Orchestra (which he conducted).
Mamey worked extensively on television variety shows, serving as orchestrator on The Mike Douglas Show in the 1970s, and was the orchestra leader for Shields and Yarnell on their 1977-1978 CBS series. He arranged or orchestrated for the Bob Hope specials Happy Birthday, Bob (1978) and On the Road to China (1979), both of which featured Muppets as guests. In later years, in addition to the Sesame projects, he arranged or composed additional music for other children's series, such as Nickelodeon's The Angry Beavers and Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.
