In this book, Cookie Monster buys some cookies for dinner, but starts craving the cookies earlier, and asks Big Bird to hold the cookies for him until dinner. Big Bird refuses, because he knows that Cookie Monster will keep begging and trying to trick him into giving him the cookies until he gives in. Oscar the Grouch agrees to hold them, telling Big Bird that he likes to say "No". Cookie Monster tries to trick Oscar with a variety of disguises, but Oscar doesn't fall for any of them.
This book was also recorded for the Big Bird StoryMagic toy in 1987.
