Nicholas Stoller (b. 1976) is an American screenwriter and director. He co-wrote the script for The Muppets with Jason Segel and co-wrote Muppets Most Wanted with James Bobin.
He previously directed and co-wrote the 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and its 2010 spin-off/sequel, Get Him to the Greek. For Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Stoller directed puppet characters created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
Stoller commented on The Muppets in a 2008 interview:
While early reports said Stoller would also direct the film,[2][3] in January 2010, James Bobin was hired to direct the film.[4]
