The Next Generation Security Officer was featured in "Spaceship Surprise: The Next Generation." He is second-in-command, as he's addressed by the captain ("Make it so, number two"). Also, echoing the previous mate, he would ask why they kept traveling from planet to planet, only to be "surprised" in finding out the answer.

The officer was a parody of Worf, played by Michael Dorn.
