The Next Generation Captain starred in "Spaceship Surprise: The Next Generation." Like the original captain, he loved surprises and threw confetti (directly towards the officer) whenever he mentioned them on board. However, he was not afraid of incoming surprises, although he initially ducked in cover when greeted by Hopalong Hamster on the Planet H.

The captain was a direct parody of Patrick Stewart's character Jean-Luc Picard.
