Neuschwanstein Castle is a popular tourist attraction in Germany, with a history as the palace of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It served as the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

Uncle Traveling Matt visits the castle in the Fraggle Rock episode "The Great Radish Caper," assuming from its size that it must be a Gorg outpost. Since where Gorgs live radishes must be nearby, Uncle Matt succeeds in finding the vegetable at a nearby stall.
