Nena with Rumpel in 1998.

Nena, born Gabriele Susanne Kerner, sings the theme song for Eine Möhre für Zwei, a spin-off of Sesamstrasse. She previously appeared on Sesamstrasse in a 1998 episode, where everyone tries to get her autograph. She then turns out to be excited to receive Samson's.

The German singer came to international fame in 1983, with the New German Wave song "99 Luftballons," re-recorded in English as "99 Red Balloons." She lives and works in Hamburg.
