The National Children’s Museum (NCM) in Washington, DC includes a permanent Sesame Street-themed exhibit in its 3 & Under gallery (originally announced as the ("Early Learners gallery"). The space opened in December 2012, ahead of their original 2013 estimate.
History
The partnership will include interactive exhibits, educational video segments, and books. Sesame Workshop will also help develop content, exhibits, and programs for the museum's Our World gallery, which focuses on world culture and locations.
In the initial press release in February 2011, Sesame Workshop's Gary Knell referenced admiration for the museum and their outreach programs:
