MustaphaKhan

Mustapha Khan directed several inserts for Sesame Street including the song "Dancin' Shoes," for which he also co-wrote the song lyrics and won a 1992 Daytime Emmy. He also directed the 1993 special Sesame Street's 25th Birthday: A Musical Celebration.

Khan began his film and television career in the late 1980's, starting as an assistant on the Spike Lee-directed School Daze. His first directorial effort was Reflections of A Native Son, one of four short films highlighted in 1989 on the PBS anthology series, American Playhouse. He has since directed documentaries as well as commercials for such clients as Coca-Cola, Nickelodeon and HBO.
