Museo de Cera

Added by BunnyfriendThe Museo de Cera (Wax Museum) in Mexico City portrays some of Sesame Street's most recognizable characters, as well as Lola from Plaza Sésamo in their permanent exhibition. All the characters are placed in a set which resembles Plaza Sésamo's environment.

Each figure weighs 30 kilos (66 pounds), has an average height of 120 centimeters (47 inches) and was modeled within a time period of 4 months -- the same amount of time that takes to model a human figure. Clay models were built at first, which were later approved and authorized by Sesame Workshop.
