Muppets Who Grow Eyelids

This is a list of instances in which eyelids can be seen on Muppets who don't normally have them, or they've been extended for those that do. This is usually done to create the appearance of sleep, when the simpler method of turning the character's eyes from the camera won't work for the scene.

	The Countess	The Count's Storybook Theater, The Count counts the Countesses snores.
	The Cowardly LionPlayed By Fozzie Bear	The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, when he's affected by the poppy seeds. He is shown both with full eye coverings, and lids extended beyond his normal ones.
	Elmo	Elmo in Grouchland, Happy Healthy Monsters, assorted Elmo Variants, Episode 3853, Episode 3977, Episode 4117 (as Jelmo), and in Sesame Beginnings as a baby.
	Emily Bear	At the end of The Muppet Show episode 216.
	Ernie	The second part of a two part sketch where The Count sleeps over and keeps Ernie up all night. In addition to added eyelids, he also has heavy bags under his eyes.
	Ernestine	Ernestine falls asleep as Gina and Big Bird go through Ernie and Bert's photo album in The Best of Ernie and Bert.
	Gabriel	"Honest Lullaby" in episode 503 of The Muppet Show.
	Gonzo	Muppets from Space, his standard moving eyelids are extended in a scene to cover his entire eyeballs, and a lower eyelid is added.
	Grandpa Jacob	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Talkin' with the Cat," while sleeping.
	The Grinch	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap," when sleeping.
	Grouches	A group of grouches receive some extra eyelids in a scene from "The Adventures of Trash Gordon."
	Grover	Happy Healthy Monsters while relaxing.
	Grungetta	Grungetta plays the role of Sleeping Grouchy in Episode 4143.
	Henrietta Honker	Big Bird helps the baby honker get to sleep in Sleepytime Songs & Stories.
	Herry Monster	A 1971 sketch where he sleeps in bed snoring with Zs. In an insert, seen in episode 3957, after he and Rosita sing "Monster Lullaby," he falls asleep.
	Kermit the Frog	When he turns into a "Mr. Hyde" variant in episode 420 of The Muppet Show.
	Mean Mama	For the number "Hey There, Good Times" in episode 318 of The Muppet Show; in "Hooray for Hollywood" from The Muppets Go Hollywood.
	Mokey	Mokey's usual moving eyelids are extended to provide static lids covering her entire eyes while she meditates in "A Cave of One's Own."
	Monster Clubhouse Monsters	Googel, Narf and Phoebe have eyelids during brief naptimes.
	Morton the Elephant Bird	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Horton Has a Hit," when sleeping in two scenes.
	Natasha	"Natasha's Lullabye"
	Pepe the King Prawn as Toto	The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, when he's affected by the poppy seeds.
	Prairie Dawn	The Letter of the Day Games for the letters D, P, and Y.
	Red Fraggle	"A Cave of One's Own" and various episodes from season 3 onwards.
	Rizzo	Muppets from Space, sleeping and, later, praying.
	Sarah Hall-Small	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap," when sleeping.
	Sleeping Beauty	Although she's only so far been used as a one-shot character in this form, Sleeping Beauty's eyelids are replaced with lids that cover her entire eyes at the end of her "Healthy Storybook Moments" sketch.
	Slimey the Worm	Various Trash Gordon sketches.
	Statler	In a Muppetism.
	Telly	Episode 4118, after becoming exasperated with Oscar; in a brief scene from Talk, Listen, Connect, in which Telly's moving eyelids are replaced with lids that cover his entire eyes.
	Terrence McBird	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap," when sleeping.
	Thidwick the Moose	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Halfway Home to Malamaroo," making fuel for Alvin's spaceship; depressed when he couldn't make everyone's birthday come true in "The Birthday Moose."
	Wembley Fraggle	"The Day the Music Died" and various episodes from season 3 onwards, including "Pebble Pox Blues" and "Gobo's School for Explorers."
